Jammu, Jan 12: In a very shameful act by the Jammu Kashmir police cops in Jammu, who took money from the youths hailing from Chandigarh by intimidating them, who had come to Jammu for holiday.
As per reports, the incident took place in last night on National Highway in Sidhra area , where some youths were stopped by the cops, who were in their vehicle as their vehicle had gone out of order.
The cops started questioning them about their presence in the area during night hour, although youths told them about their identity and informed them that their vehicle has got some problem but cops started intimidating them. They started torturing them from their questions when they came to know they belong to Chandigarh and threatened to arrest them by labelling false charges against them.
The youths finding themselves helpless in the city, who were clueless to find the solution to get out of the situation became soft target for the cops. The cops allegedly demanded Rs 5,000 from them for their safe passage but the youth could not manage this amount and later cops agreed to take Rs 500. Moreover, despite taking Rs 500, the cops also took the key of their vehicle with them and left them in the lurch, who remained stuck on road.
