Congress holds monthly meet at Bishnah

Jammu, Jan 15: The monthly meeting of Block Congress Committee Bishnah was held at party office Kanhal Bishnah. Shashi Sharma Secretary Pardesh Congress Committee Presided over the meeting which was attended by all the office bearers of Block Congress Committee, Kisaan Cell, OBC Cell ,Mahila Congress, Youth Congress and DCC members of Bishnah Constituency . In this meeting various local problems being faced by people were discussed such as dilapidated conditions of roads i.e Bishanh- Shahpur road ,Laswara-Karel road,Chakjarala-kanhal via Sehora road,Pandori-Makhanpur road via Pasgal all these roads need to be repaired and upgraded also worst over condition of lain -drains in Bishnah Constituency. The Congress leaders felt dissatisfication over the compensation being paid to the farmers i.e ? 675 per kanal against their expenditure of ?3000 per kanal which is just a cruel joke with the farmer community who have lost both of their crops paddy as well as wheat crop due to heavy rains and hail -storms in the area. In his speech Mr Shasi assured the gathering that all these issues will be taken up with the authorieties concerned and Party high Command for early redressal. He demanded special relief package for farmers specially paddy growers who suffered extensive loss of their crops and facing hardship for sowing wheat crop.
