Rajouri, Jan 15: A bizarre incident was witnessed today at Office of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Rajouri, where students of Ancillary Nursing Medical Training (ANMT) School Rajouri were allegedly forced to push start official vehicle by leaving their classes, which was lying defunct for the last many days.
Sources informed that instead of calling mechanic for fixing the problem, the CMO Rajouri admin preferred to call students of ANMT School, which is functioning with the premises of CMO office at the stake of their study.
“The van was laying defunct in premises of CMO Office Rajouri, which was used for conducting vaccination drive for the last many days due to some technical snag developed in it. After several attempts, when employees failed to get it started, they called students of ANMT School and asked them to push it for making it functional, who were in their classes,” they said.
The locals, who witnessed the incident, expressed strong resentment against the non professional approach of the CMO administration. “This is not first incident, where students have been used for petty works other than study. Even in government schools, students are forced to clean school, fetching portable water etc.,” they alleged. Deputy CMO Rajouri, Dr Anees, when contacted, he said that he would inquire about it and if incident was found true, strict action will be taken against the erring employees.
