Hizb terrorist involved in killing of RSS leader killed in Doda encounter

Jammu, Jan 15: In a major success to security forces, Doda police and 10 RR in a joint operation in Gundna block of Doda District, some 25 KM from Doda town mange to kill the wanted Hizb terrorist Haroon Abbas Wani involved in killing of RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO Rajinder Kumar during a brief encounter that took place in a snow bound area of the Doda.
As per the details available with Early Times, after receiving an input about the movement of some terrorist, security forces launched a massive search operation in snow bound area of Gundna block in Doda District and established a contact with the militant hiding inside the hideout resulted into the killing of wanted Hizb commander Haroon Abbas Wani alias Momin Ul Islam Son of Ghulam Abbas’s Wani Resident of Furqan Abad, Ghat, Doda District involved in killing of RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO Rajinder Kumar inside District Hospital Kishtwar on 9-4-2018, BJP State Secretary Anil and his brother Ajeet Parihar that shook Kishtwar District on November,1 2018 when both brothers were killed in cold blood at the time they were returning to home after closing their shop.
The official sources told the Early Times that on the bases of specific input, security forces launch the search and combing operation and the militant after seeing the security forces approaching towards their hideout, they opened fire on the security forces resulted into the killing of Wani while another militant believe to be a Kashmiri origin manage to escape and forces has intensified the operation to hunt the other militant. Huge cache of arms and ammunition including One AK 47, 3 magazines, 73 rounds, one granade, one radio set has been recovered from the slain militant, beside daily need commodities had also been recovered from the hideout used by the terrorist.
The sources told the Early Times that while trying to flee the security cordon, slain Haroon Wani tried to escape and falls from the hillock after hit by the bullets from security forces.
Speaking to Early Times, SSP Doda Mumtaz Ahmed confirm the killing of Haroon Abbas Wani added that they have information of presence of only one militant in the area.
J&K police has recently announced Rs. 15 lakh cash reward on Haroon Wani and his associate Masood Ahmed, also local from Doda District. Slain Militant was categorised as A+++ category militant and his killing has given a big dent to HM outfit plan to carry out terror related activities in the Chenab belt.
