31st Road Safety Week 2020 observed

kathua, Jan 15: Under the guidelines of Regional Transport Office, Kathua, Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Kathua organised a cluster of activities to observe the celebration of 31st Road Safety Week 2020.
The celebration included Painting , Poster Making Competition, Symposium and Poem Recitation.
Dr. Raj K. Thappa, Regional Transport Officer, Kathua graced the event with his kind presence. He was accompanied by ARTO Kathua and the officials of Motor Vehicle Department, Kathua. Dr. Thappa applauded the paintings and posters made by the students showcasing various aspects of Road Safety. He also acknowledged the efforts of the school management for organising the event and making the students as a medium of the wakefulness regarding the Road Safety. In his address, Dr. Thappa congratulated the participating students and also made them aware of the Road Safety measures.
Sardar Khan(Retd. S.P), President, School Management Committee also threw light on some crucial and critical issues regarding Road Safety. In his address, he also admired the consistent efforts of the school management for the all-round development of the students.
In the end, Gandharb Singh Katal, Chairman Nav Adarsh thanked the office of the RTO, Kathua for the kind cooperation in organising the program. He also mentioned that the school administration is always keen to provide such platforms to the students so that they can become the torch bearers of the society. Winners were awarded with certificates and medals. The proceedings were carried out by Rakesh Pathania.
