1/15/2020 9:16:00 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 15: Deploring the buzz created over the CAA, the former Union Minister Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta observed that the opponents are making an issue of a non issue. The amendment has been just to come to the help of the minorities who have been persecuted in the theocratic Pakistan being dominated by the radicals. The melody had come to be from the very beginning of the sad partition of the country in 1947.
Not only in Pakistan the cleanse of the minorities had been there even in occupied Kashmir as also in the Valley. Prof. Gupta alleged that the adversaries of the CAA are in a way siding with the perpetrators of the crime against the humanity just for vote bank politics. But the people have come to be quite awakened of the realities, he added and observed that this was bound to recoil the politicians trading on the wrong path and indulging in firing in the dark. He said that this inhuman attitude of the Congress and its cronies is not new one, they had denied even the citizenship rights to the Pakistan refugees in Jammu areas for over seven decades and it was now Narender Modi led dispensation that had created conditions for granting the basic rights to Pakistan refugees as also to the Balmiki Safai Karamcharies in Jammu and Kashmir who were denied the basic citizenship rights.
