MVD organises women's two-wheeler rally, blood donation camp

JAMMU, Jan 15: Motor Vehicles Department, Jammu, in coordination with Traffic Police, today organized "Women's Two Wheeler Rally" from University of Jammu and "Blood Donation Camp" here at the RTO office.
Students of various city colleges participated in the rally.
Transport Commissioner, Dr. Owais Ahmed, who was chief guest on this occasion, flagged off women's two wheeler rally and also inaugurated the blood donation camp.
He impressed upon the students and other participants to inculcate traffic sense and develop habit of obeying traffic rules. A Nukad Natak, on road safety, was also presented by Sargam Club, Samba, which was highly applauded by the chief guest and other participants.
Earlier, Regional Transport Officer, Jammu, Dhananter Singh, welcomed the chief guest. Team of Doctors and Paramedicos of Health Department Jammu; a team of Eye Specialists deputed by Centre for Eye Sight, Rehari; Presidents of various Transport Unions; representatives of various Transport Companies; Sargam Club Samba and other volunteers, donated the blood.
Among others present on the occasion were ARTO, (HQ), Jammu, Shammi Kumar; ARTO BOI-G, Rajesh Gupta; ARTO BOI-P, Mohammad Saleem; ARTO Jammu, Pawan Sharma; Motor Vehicle Inspectors and all officials of RTO office Jammu.
