NCC, NSS Units of GGM Science College, visit Suchetgarh Border

JAMMU, Feb 2: The NCC and NSS UnitS of GGM Science College, Jammu made an awareness-cum-interaction visit to Octroi Post of Suchetgarh Border on the invitation of Border Security Force (BSF).
The students were accompanied by Dr Fraz Ahmed Chauhan, Associate NCC Officer; Dr Nainder Sharma, NSS Programme Officer and Prof Saurav Sharma.
A total of 102 students which included 27 Boys (SD) and 24 girls (SW) of NCC of 2nd J&K Battalion; 51 Boys and girls of NSS visited the border. The event was organized by the Commanding Officer BSF, Miran Sahib.
The students were briefed about the posts, borders and other related things by Sh. Hardev Singh, Deputy Commandent BSF and Sh. Atul, Assistant Commandent BSF. The students were taken to the zero line where they were briefed about the international border. They were then taken to 36 Warrior Art Gallery where they were shown photographs of martyr soldiers and videos showing different terrains in which BSF performs its duty. Later, light refreshment was also served to the cadets by the BSF.
