West Pak Refugees hold meeting, highlights problem

Vijaypur, Feb 2: A monthly meeting of Western Pakistani Rafugees under the leadership of Labba Ram Gandhi held at Swankha Morh. The problems being faced to Western Pakistani were listened. While interacting with the media persons he told that the issues of Western Pakistani shall be put up before the higher authorities. He said the Central Government has announced the one time settlement relief which is being paid to the Western Pakistani at par the D.Ps. of 1947, 1965 and 1971.
He said that the administration of Jammu and Kashmir is un-necessarily delaying the process of distribution of compensation. He told that Additional Commissioner, Jammu has toured in Tehsil Hiranagar and he has issued the directions to the revenue agency to collect the claim files from Western Pakistani so that the compensation will be delivered to the beneficiaries.
He hoped that in other Tehsils the process shall be continued very soon. He said that if the JK Govt. will delay the process then they have option of launching agitation. Other which were present includes Sukhdev Manhas – Vice President, Joginder Singh, Darshan Lal, Shakti Sharma, Jaswant Singh.
