Anantnag, Feb 05: Security Forces on Wednesday recovered one pistol from the premises of Jammu and Kashmir Bank South Zone Office in Bakshiabad area of Anantnag. As per reports, a joint group of Army’s 1 RR and SOG Anantnag cordoned off Bakshiabad area of Anantnag after receiving specific inputs about the movement of militants around Bank office.
“The old office building of Jammu and Kashmir bank was searched and during search one pistol was recovered,” an officer, who was part of the operation, told Early Times.
He said that bank authorities have stored old record, furniture and stationery in the building where from the weapon was recovered.
After recovering pistol from the building, a security guard of the bank office was also detained for questioning. Police has also launched an investigation to find how the bank employees and officials allowed anti-national elements to dump a weapon in the building. |
