VC CLUJ felicitates Inter University , Khelo India sports achievers

Jammu, Feb 5: Outstanding players of Judo, Fencing, Pencak Silat, Chess and Badminton of Cluster University of Jammu who have qualified for the Khelo India University games 2020 were felicitated by Prof. Anju Bhasin ,Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu for their brilliant performance in the Inter-University Tournaments and for their selection in Khelo India University Games which are going to be held at Bhubneshwar from 20-02-2020 to 29-02-2020 .The Vice Chancellor lauded the spectacular performance of the sports achievers who have brought laurels to the university as ambassadors and also assured unyielding support to promote sports in the university which shall further accentuate sense of achievement, camaraderie and national pride of our young learners.The efforts of sports maestros were also praised by Dr Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar who further motivated them to set their goals high and work persistently to accomplish those.
The players who have qualified for Khelo India University Games and those who have won the Medals at All India Inter-University Competitions are Shikha Bhau (Judo), Azad Chander Sharma (Judo), Riya Bakshi (Fencing, Bronze Medal), Jaspreet Kour(Fencing), Neetika Mahajana (Fencing)and Sagarika (Fencing) Qualified for Khelo India University games. Komal Dhiman ( Gold Medal) , Jahanvi Katal (Gold Medal in Beach event and Bronze Medal in Indoor event) and Anushka Bakshi (Silver Medal) in All India Pencak Silat Inter- University Competition. Raghav Dogra (Badminton) played at Khelo India Youth Games and Abhinandan Dhar (Chess) remained in best Six at North Zone Inter-University tournament.

Pawan Giri, Assistant Physical Director GGM Science College Jammu were present on the occasion.
