DC reviews progress on uploading of Data under Jammu smart city project

JAMMU, Feb 5: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chauhan, today chaired a meeting of district officers to review progress on uploading of Questionnaire and Data on civic facilities required by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for “Ease of living” and “Municipal Performance Indicators” under smart city projects.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ghansham Singh, Joint Director Education, J K Sudan, Nodal Officer CMO Office Jammu Dr. Shahid Hussain, Additional CEO Smart City Sandeep Seointra, District Informatics Officer, Sanjay Gupta besides senior officers of concerned department attended the meeting.The meeting held threadbare discussion on timely submission of requisite accurate data being provided by different departments including Education, Police, Health, Jammu Municipal Corporation, PDD, PHE, PWD and other agencies.
Sushma Chauhan, while highlighting importance of Jammu Smart City project, called upon all concerned officers to work with utmost zeal and dedication which would be a great contribution towards formulation of an effective Jammu Smart City Project.
Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to provide accurate data at the earliest so that the same can be uploaded on the dedicated portal.
She further directed to furnish guidance, response and remarks on the questions pertaining to their respective departments falling within Municipal limit of Jammu as soon as possible.
Pertinently, the Jammu Smart City Project is part of the Smart Cities Mission programme of Government of India aimed at developing Jammu and 100 other cities of the country.
So far, under the smart city project tender worth rupees 119 crore has been allotted and work on these projects will be initiated by this month end.
