Health officials found absent during surprise inspection

RAJOURI, Feb 6:In a major drive to ensure punctuality and regularity in health institutions, attendance monitoring squads (AMS) constituted by Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri, Dr. Sanjeev Puri, inspected various Health Institutions in Block Kalokote
The CMO Rajouri along with the team, inspected 3 NT, Primary Health Centres and Six Sub-Centres of which one was found locked. Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri has decided to initiate strong action against the absentees and also sought explanation from Block Medical Officer, Kalakote for lack of proper monitoring
In another exercise by the teams, constituted by Dr.Iqbal Malik, BMO Block Kandi, conducted a surprise inspection of one CHC Kandi ,4 PHC and 14 Sub-centres in block Kandi and Sub centre Upper Kandi and Sub-Centre Sankari was found locked during the day . Taking cognizance of dereliction of duty, the entire staff of these two health institutions has been recommended for suspension and nine officials were served a show-cause notice.
As many as 9 officials were found absent, four on leave and 8 on deputation to GMC Rajouri in Block Kandi added BMO Kandi.
The CMO Rajouri said the surprise checking was to ensure punctuality and discipline to ensure the best Health care facilities to the public. He said that action shall also be initiated against the authorities who have sanctioned leave in an irrational and casual manner and similar surprise visited also carried out in the future.
