University of Jammu Bags Overall Trophy of NIC

JAMMU, Feb 28: K.K Sharma, Advisor to Lt Governor, Chief Guest on the occassion while speaking at the successful completion of seven days National Integration Camp at University of Jammu laid stress on importance of national integration camp resulting in promoting the spirit of universal peace , harmony and brotherhood. Besides he also advised all the participants to take the message of National integration to their respective states and union territories. Advisor Sharma complimented the organizers of the function for conducting the mega function in a seamless manner and expressed satisfaction that the University of Jammu is attaining new heights under the present leadership. Sh Shama was also moved by the greetings of the participants from various States & UT in their mother tongue which itself gives a glimpse of "unity in diversity", and the existence of this concept has been in India since time immemorial.
Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu in his presidential address said that India is going to be the youngest nation by 2030 and youth of our Country should unite to wage war against social evils & poverty and there is a common thread of nationalism, pluralism and humanism which keeps us united. This mega event truly displays our cultural richness and a capacity to move together unitedly. Furthermore, he extended his thanks to Ministry of Youth affairs and Sports, NSS Regional Directorate New Delhi for giving an opportunity to Jammu University for hosting such a mega event.
The Proceedings of the programme were conducted by NSS Volunteer Jasbir The National Integration Camp was coordinated under the supervision of NSS Coordinator Dr. Satinder kumar, Programme officers Dr. Hema Gandotra, Dr. Seema Rohmetra, Dr. Savita Nayyar and Dr. Meghna Dhar along with College Programme officers Prof. Manmohan Singh , Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Prof. Yashpaul and Prof. Rituraj Sharma and NSS volunteers.
