2/28/2020 11:52:15 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 28: Meeting of some BJP leaders with Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu has once again exposed factionalism in the party because some days back another delegation of the party had met the LG.
Credible sources said that due to infighting and groupism within party, a group is always giving preference to some particular leaders while meeting with higher-ups. This group has also given message to the higher authorities that only they are running affairs in the J&K unit of party so other leaders should not be taken seriously.
Credible sources further revealed that most of the senior leaders have been sidelined in the party and only some selective leaders have been projected before the authorities.
“Informally higher-ups in the administration have given message by this group that except few, all other senior BJP leaders should be ignored”, sources said and added that it was all due to this attitude of influential group that most of the senior leaders are facing suffocated within the party. Sources said that sidelined leaders have decided to assert within and outside the party to prove their potential.
As per official handout, Members of Parliament-Shamsher Singh Manhas and Jugal Kishore Sharma along with Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister and Abhinav Sharma, President J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu met Lt Governor and apprised him about various issues of public importance including de-silting and cleaning of rivers and canals in Jammu, implementation of the feedback given by the people during Back to Village programme , creation of parking lots in different areas of Jammu to address the issue of traffic congestion; revenue related issues ; clearance of liabilities under MGNREGA; redressal of pubic grievances and issues by the District Administration; tackling Mining nexus, issues of aspirants of Probationary Officers & Banking Associates of J&K Bank etc.
