KATHUA, Mar 3: District Industries Centre, Kathua today organized One Day Awareness Camp on "Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), MSME Schemes, IDS-2017" in collaboration with Career Couselling and Placement Cell of GDC, Kathua. The programme was attended by more than 100 students of Semester 6th. The Awareness Camp was inaugurated by Prof. Asha Ram Sharma , Principal of the College. In his Welcome address Prof. Asha Ram Sharma expressed gratitude towards District Industry Centre, Kathua for organizing such an awareness Camp in collaboration with Career Counselling and Placement Cell of Govt. Degree College, Kathua . He exhorted upon students to avail benefits of the schemes offered by Govt. of India. Speaking on the occasion , Babu Ram (KAS) General Manager DIC , Kathua exhorted upon the students to become entrepreneurs and avail benefits of various schemes available with DIC, Kathua. He inspired the students to become job providers and not seekers. Mohit , Assistant Director MSME , Jammu was Key resource person for the MSME Schemes. He explained that in manufacturing sector Micro Enterprises provide a lone facility of 5 Lacs, where as in small enterprises a lone facility in between 25 lacs to 5 crores and in medium enterprises 5-10 crore .
