POONCH, Mar 3: A meeting of District Surveillance Committee (DSC) was held today to discuss the preparedness for combating Coronavirus.
The meeting was attended by SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral, DFO Mohan Chowdhar; Chief Medical Officer, Executive officer Municipality Poonch, Program officer of health Department, besides other concerned officers.
The meeting discussed preparatory measures for detection of Corona Virus at the early stage, among the suspected patients, if any.
Meanwhile, District Development Commissioner directed the CMO to sensitize doctors about the preparedness and to spread general awareness among people through Radio talk, distribution of Posters and Pamphlets listing dos and Don'ts for Corona Virus.
Keeping in view the Novel Corona virus it is appealed to the general public, who have travel history to China, Iran or Middle East since 1st, January, 2020 to come forward for self-reporting to the call center or the nearest health facility if they experience any symptoms of respiratory diseases and to inform their treating doctor.
The government has also set up helpline numbers 011-23978046 (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GOI), 0191-2549676(State level cell for J&K), 0191-2520982(for Jammu division) to get information about the Novel Corona Virus. |
