| Nagrota Police workouts “Hit and Run” case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 5: Nagrota Police solved hit and run case in Sidhra area, in which a pedestrian was killed on Tuesday.
On March 3 an information was received at Police Post Sidhra that one unknown vehicle ran away after hitting a pedestrian. On this case FIR no 112/2020 under section 279/304-A was registered and police party headed by incharge Police Post Sidhra Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq swung into action and the pedestrian was shifted to GMC Jammu where doctor declared him brought dead, the deceased had been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed son Barqatulah resident of Sidhra, a forest official.
After this police party started zeroing of vehicles and after developing leads one after other, a vehicle Tata Tiago bearing registration number JK21C/6732 was seized from outskirts of Jammu and accused driver namely Sunil Verma resident of Bari Brahmana was arrested. The investigation into the case started and the involvement of accused into the crime was established through connecting evidences. |
