Namgyal can’t be BJP President for Ladakh: Courtesy Jealousy of Jammu BJP leaders

Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 5: With the appointment of former minister Chering Dorjay as president of Ladakh unit of BJP, one thing has become clear that party leader from Jammu have been succeeded in their “nefarious design” to settle score with emerging young leader and Lok Sabha member from Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal.
All Jammu based leaders of BJP have become jealous of Namgyal, who has become one of the popular party leader across the country after his speech on the floor of the Lok Sabha on August 6, 2019.
Credible sources said that all Jammu based BJP leaders, who are known for their cheap politics and hollowness, were indulged in devising schemes to stop Namgyal from becoming president of the Ladakh unit of BJP. It was all due to their game-plan that Namgyal was sidelined and Dorjay was appointed as first president of the BJP unit of Ladakh.
BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda appointed Chering Dorjay as the chief of BJP's Ladakh unit on Thursday.
“Bhartiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda has appointed Shri Chering Dorjay (Ex-Minister of J & K) as State President of Ladakh BJP," said a statement issued by National General Secretary Arun Singh.
"The appointment comes into immediate effect," the statement added.
A few days ago Jamyang Tsering Namgyal was a backbencher and relatively unknown Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha. On August 6, he became a social media star with and has more Twitter followers than the number who voted in the general elections in his constituency.
Namgyal’s fiery speech in the Lok Sabha had not only won kudos from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, home minister Amit Shah and other lawmakers, it turned him into an overnight star. The young MP unwittingly achieved a feat: he became the first Ladakhi in the history of Twitter to trend with more than 40,000 tweets mentioning him until late August 6, 2019.
The number of total voters were 126,26 for the four candidates in the recent Lok Sabha elections for the Ladakh constituency comprising of Leh and Kargil districts where Namgyal –popularly known as JTN - won by a margin exceeding 10,000 votes.
