DIG thrusts on police-public coordination

Katra, Mar 5: Deputy Inspector General of Police Surjit Kumar has stressed on police public coordination for best results.
He was speaking in a function organised by Hotel & Restaurant Association,Katra and Jammu Region Chapter of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry in connection with farewell of Ranjeet Singh Samyal SSP, GRP Katra.
Naresh Kumar Singh Addl.SP Katra and Vivek Shekher Dy.SP Katra were present on the occasion.
Surjit Kumar Singh Deputy Inspector General of Police Udhamput-Reasi range said that best results can only be achieved when Police and public may have best coordination and they work together as a team particularly at place like Katra.He further said that the responsibility of Police and for that matter every department at Katra becomes more because every one working overhere in fact represents Jammu & Kasmir and if some pilgrim/tourist take homes good or bad image from here infact becomes the image of the state.
Samyal while speaking on the occasion said that he would remain indebted to the people of Katra for the love and effection which they have given to him and his team in the last 3 years and since the train is going to be connected by Srinagar in the near future and thus importance of Katra would become even more and initiatives started by General Railway Police in last few years would prove to be milestone.
