Administrative Secretaries attend public at Civil Secretariat, Jammu

JAMMU, Mar 5: Administrative Secretaries today met with general public and panchayat representatives in their office chambers at Civil Secretariat, as part of routine hearing of public grievances by the Administration.
A large number of deputations from across J&K met the Administrative Secretaries and highlighted their issues pertaining to Revenue, PWD(R&B), PDD, Higher Education, H&UD, PHE, I&FC, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Tourism.
During separate public meetings held today, Principal Secretary Revenue Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Commissioner Secretary Public Works (R&B) Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Secretary Power Development M Raju, Secretary Higher Education Department Talat Parvez Rohella met with people and took stock of their grievances and concerns.
A large number of deputations from across the UT highlighted land related issues pertaining to Revenue Department including certain complaints against JDA regarding delay in allotment of shops in favour of genuine beneficiaries, conduct complaints against some revenue officials at Khrew, Administration’s intervention in providing possession of land at Khasra village Rakh Hoshiari, Kathua to the applicant.
Similarly, Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development, Dheeraj Gupta; Commissioner/Secretary Industries and Commerce Manoj Kumar Dwivedi; Commissioner/Secretary PHE, I&FC Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Secretary Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj; Sheetal Nanda and Secretary Tourism & Culture Zubair Ahmad today met with individuals, deputations, Ex MLAs/MLCs and BDC Chairpersons to take stock of their issues and concerns.
A large delegation comprising multiple BDC Chairpersons from District Ramban met with Secretary Rural Development and raised a demand for office infrastructure for BDC Chairpersons. Others issues raised included release of payment for construction of toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission Scheme, at Harpora Panchayat, Block Shopian, and other service matters.
Other issues raised included matters pertaining to Public Health Engineering and Irrigation department.
Administrative Secretaries assured the people that their genuine issues would be taken up on priority for redressal. They also gave directions to the concerned authorities to take appropriate action on the issues.
