SAMBA, Mar 5: Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria today took detailed review of health department's preparedness and finalized a detailed plan for detection, control and prevention of the Corona Virus in the District.
During the meeting Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Vikas Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kulbhushan Khajuria Chief Medical Officer, Rajinder Samyal, Sub- Divisional Magistrate Ghagwal Ramkesh Sharma, Sub- Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur CP Kotwal, District Information Officer, Ajay Sharma, General Manager D.I.C Sansar Chand, besides other district officers and Medical staff were present.
Giving details, the Chief Medical Officer appraised the meeting about various steps initiated in the district regarding containment and prevention of the virus. He said Fever, Dry Cough and shortness of breath can be one of the early symptoms of Corona virus and each person should take proper care and visit doctor immediately, if the symptoms do not subside after few days. It was also informed that awareness is being spread regarding various prevention techniques like using Sanitizers, handkerchief, and elbow technique for sneezing, washing hands regularly, avoiding direct contact and refraining from attending large gatherings.
Supervisory committees, headed by SDMs and ACR in their respective jurisdictions, were constituted to oversee the process of surveying of outside visitors in hotels and door to door checking for any suspected Corona Virus case.
