Jammu, Mar 5: The Taekwondo (Men & Women) team of Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) was selected for All India Inter-University tournament.
The selection trails were held under the supervision of Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Sports Coordinator Cluster University of Jammu and Physical Director, GGM Science College Jammu. In Men’s section Akshay Kumar -54 KG category, Abhishek Chib -80 KG category of MAM College, Himanshu Sharma -58 KG category, Ankush Padha -68 KG category of GGM Science College, Sahil Singh Bogal -63 KG category, Pawandeep Verma -74 KG category of SPMR College of Commerce were selected and In Women’s section Miss. Komal Dhiman -46 KG category and Miss. Anushka Bakshi -67 KG category of GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu were selected and qualified for the participation at All India Inter-University tournaments going to be held at Punjabi University Patiala.
Prof. Raj Kumar Gupta, Prof. Veer Singh, Prof. Satish Sharma, Sh. Aijaz Malik, Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce, Sh. Narinder Sharma, Physical Director Govt. Degree College Kunjwani, Smt. Neelam Chalotra, Assistant Physical Director MAM College Jammu were present on the occassion. The Match was officiated by Sh. Zaheer Abbas Khan (NIS) National Refree and Sh. Anchal Sharma, Commonwealth Taekwondo Champion (Gold Medallist).
