CB Jammu registers FIR against fraudsters for fake appointment orders 3/6/2020 11:08:51 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 6: Crime Branch Jammu unearthed fake appointments in Power Development Department (PDD). Two Engineers (1) Pallav Gupta S/O Romesh Gupta R/O Village Bakore A/P Rajpura Mangotrain, Jammu and (2) Sagar Kumar S/O Raj Kumar R/O Chak Jaralan Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu managed their fake appointment orders in PDD as Junior Engineer against sports quota. Interestingly both of them have never played even school games but managed their appointments against sports quota of players who are champions at National/International level competitions. Crime Branch Jammu has registered FIR against the fraudsters Pallav Gupta and Sagar Kumar for cheating and fraud in false and fake appointments orders. Both Engineers manage their appointment orders vide Govt. order no. 611-GAD of 2017 dated 18.05.2017 and 708-GAD of 2018 dated 26-04-2018 respectively. Both the JEs have been dismissed by Chief Engineer, J&K Power Transmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL). General Administration Department of J&K Govt. recommended the case along with their enquiry report to Crime Branch to lodge FIR against appointment orders of Junior Engineers (JEs) in which the fraud was discovered. During the course of investigation by Crime Branch, it was established that these Govt. Order numbers actually pertains to compassionate appointments under SRO-43 of 1994 dated 22.02.1994 in favour of members of the J&K State Advisory Board. It was also established that the accused persons namely Pallav Gupta and Sagar Kumar have managed false and fake appointment orders and cheated the authorities in using them as genuine one. Thus commission of offences under section 420,465,468,471 IPC against said accused persons were substantiated.
