NHPC Dulhasti Power Station organises workshop for farmers

Kishtwar, Mar 6: NHPC Dulhasti Power Station in collaboration with Agriculture Department, Kishtwar is organising workshops on "Multipying/Doubling the income of farmers" in five blocks (Kishtwar, Palmar, Dachhan, Marwah & Nagaseni) of the district under Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Scheme. In this regard, a one-day workshop on the subject was organized on 06 March 2020 for the farmers of Kishtwar block in the conference room at the district headquarters.
On this occasion, Rajinder Singh Tara, Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar addressed the farmers and called for an increased participation in the programs being run by the government to increase the income of the farmers. He also urged the farmers to adopt modern agricultural techniques and appreciated the efforts being made by NHPC Dulhasti Power Station. Yogindra Kotha, General Manager (In-charge), Dulhasti Power Station and Mohd Hanief Malik, Additional District Development Commissioner were also present.
Detailed information was provided to the farmers by the experts of Agriculture Department about the production of various crops including Mushroom, Saffron, Rajmahah with modern technology. The farmers were also informed by experts about the method of use of vermicompost and various modern fertilizers. Apart from this, the queries of the farmers were also answered by the experts.
At the end of the program, Yogindra Kotha, General Manager (In-charge), Dulhasti Power Station distributed agricultural equipment and improved seeds of various crops / vegetables among the farmers.
On this occasion, Ashok Kumar Dhanwal, Senior Manager (HR), Amjad Hussain Malik, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Agriculture Extension Officers alongwith Sarpanchs of various Gram Panchayats and large number of farmers were present.
