BDC meeting held at Gool, several issues of PRIs resolved

RAMBAN, Mar 6: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shakeela Akhter, Chairperson Block Development Council Gool to discuss Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) prepared for the year 2020-21 and other ongoing schemes of different departments.
The meeting was attended by BDO Rajinder Singh, ZEO Abdul Khaliq, AEE PHE Zakir Hussain, JE PDD Tanvir Malik, Field Supervisor Fisheries, Inspector Legal Metrology and representatives of Social Welfare, Animal Husbandry, Handicraft, ICDS and various other departments.
Zonal Education Officer threw light on all the schemes of his department like MDM, TLMs, SSA, Scholarships, Child With Special Needs(CWSN), Fit India/ Khelo India, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao etc. He informed the chairperson about the activities planned for the GPDP-2020-21. While extending full support, the chairperson assured that the issue of shortage of staff shall be resolved through the intervention of higher authorities.
Block Development Officer (BDO) who is also Secretary Block Development Council gave details of MGNREGA, 14FC, PMAY-G, SBM and other ongoing schemes. He informed that the plans for the year 2020-21 have been prepared. In response to the issue of payment through PRIAsoft, the chairperson instructed BDO to resolve all bottlenecks so that payments are made from the panchayats.
The sarpanches were asked to submit the lists of left out households in week's time for their coverage under PMDP scheme of PDD. Chairperson asked the sarpanches to assist the concerned department in clearing the dues pending towards consumers. She also asked the department to submit a location wise list of sub stations along with their feeding households and power distribution scenario.
AEE PHE informed that the department is intending to prepare one major scheme under Jal Jeevan Mission so that all households meet their water requirement. In the meeting all Sarpanches unanimously proposed " Kheitan Water Supply Scheme" which can cover whole block. The Chairperson asked the department to visit the spots for technical feasibility and prepare water supply scheme/project which shall eradicate the water shortage in block
All the sarpanches raised the issue of Pensions cases which were proposed and finalized during "Back to Village"-1 and "Back to Village"-2 programmes. The chairperson asked the field functionary of social welfare to accept the pension cases and State Marriage Assistance beneficiaries on the basis of priority fixed by the Gram sabha. She also said that all pension cases projected under different schemes during Back to Village programmes be part of GPDP-2020-21.
Field Supervisor Fisheries informed that only one Fish Pond is functioning at Chuna from where the seeds of trout fishes can also be supplied. He further informed that 19 licensed fishermen are in the block. The Chairperson asked the sarpanches to propose Panchayat wise requirement of Fish Pond which shall be either constructed by Fisheries Department or by RDD under MGNREGA or in convergence mode.
The Chairperson asked all officers to ensure participation of thye officials in the meetings held at Panchayat level and help in making panchayats more powerful. She further emphasized the departments to initiate awareness camps and activities to make the people fully aware about all schemes of state and central governments.
