Kidnapped woman recovered, accused arrested from Samba

Rajouri, Mar 6: Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district arrested a man who was booked in a case of kidnapping of a woman and also rescued the woman during a raid in Samba.
An absconder wanted in a case of Manjakote police station have also been arrested. Police said that a case in FIR 26/2020 under sections 366, 109 RPC was registered in Thanamandi police station on 05th February after a woman from Dodassan Bala was kidnapped by a local man. During investigation of the matter, the police team from Thanamandi under the supervision of SHO Thanamandi, Dr. Ishan Gupta (DySP) and SDPO Thanamandi Sajjad Khan in assistance with Samba district police conducted raid on a suspected location in Samba and managed to rescue the kidnapped woman. The accused identified as Fazal Hussain son of Mohammad Sain resident of Dodassan Bala Thanamandi have been arrested.
On the other hand, police also arrested a person who was evading his arrest from last six years. Absconder have been identified as Shazad Ahmed son of Mohammad Maroof resident of Deri Dhara village of Manjakote. The accused was booked in a case FIR 112/2014 under sections 341, 336, 506 RPC and a warrant under sections 512 CrPC was also issued by the Mobile Magistrate Rajouri. was evading his arrest from last six years whereas on Friday, a team of police headed by SHO Manjakote Manzoor Kohli under the supervision of SDPO Manjakote Nisar Khoja nabbed the accused from the area who will now be produced before the court of law.
