Youth Congress to impart awareness on COVID-19

JAMMU, Mar 18: In view of outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), Youth Congress oragnised an awareness programme here on Wednesday at Party Headquarters and discussed strategy for making people aware about this deadly disease by taking necessary precautions for remaining away from infection.
The meeting was organised under the leadership of Uday Chib, J&K President Youth Congress who laid stress upon the party leaders to make people aware about this deadly diseases by taking appropriate precautions.
Speaking in the meeting, Chib asked Youth Congress activists to highlight various preventive measures to contain the spread of virus.
Asking people to maintain proper hygiene, Chib asked people to follow simple precautions like frequent washing of hands with soap, covering nose while sneezing and coughing, keeping distance from sick people besides avoid gathering. He also asked the government to provide safety masks to people besides making available sanitisers at affordable prices for general public. He urged public to take necessary precautions suggested by administration and WHO to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Chib exhorted upon the Youth Congress activists to contribute in every possible way to contain the risk of getting infected by viral strain besides check its deadly invasion into our lives. He asked them to be aware but not afraid and advised them not to get panic.
Chib further urged people to maintain social distancing, avoid unnecessary travel, use of public transport, crowded places, large gatherings besides taking basic precautions for personal hygiene such as frequent hand-wash with soap, using sanitizers besides using masks.
Chib aslo distributed masks among the Youth Congress activists and stressed upon them to provide masks and sanitizers to the needy who are not able to afford to buy this essential commodity.
