JAMMU, Mar 18: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta today conducted a meeting at PWD Guest House Gandhi Nagar, Jammu alongwith Adv. Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor, Parmod Kapahi, Anil Kumar Masoom, Suneet Kumar Raina Counicllors, Ashwani Anand Chief Engineer (UEED), Rakesh Gupta Superintending Engineer Circle Jammu UEED, Ashwani Seth Executive Engineer UEED, Rajesh Chrungoo Assistant Executive Engineer UEED, Kashmira Singh General Manager and other Field Staff of NBCC were present during the crucial meeting.
Mayor, Deputy Mayor as well as Councillors strongly raised the issue and showed their deep concern of digging of roads and lanes in an unplanned manner especially in the old city areas due to which general public are facing lot of problems while passing through these lanes and roads.
Mayor directed all the representatives of UEED and NBCC to complete this process within the stipulated time period without any further delay to give immediate relief to the inhabitants of the Jammu City as due to this left over work, insanitary conditions is also prevailing in the city and it is difficult for maintaining proper Sanitation in the whole locality which is the need of the hour due to threat of Corona Virus.
All the officers assured the respectable public representatives that they will personally monitor this atmost project taken up for General Public and get it completed immediately as directed by Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
Later Mayor also kick started the renovation work in respect of laying of Marbles / tiles at Community Hall in Radha Krishan Temple Rani Park, Jammu.
Mayor also conducted the tour of Channi Himmat area and kick started the construction work of drains near Haryali Park behind Ambika Super Shopee at Channi Himmat area of ward no: 50 at the estimate cost of Rs. 2.50 lakhs.
