Early Times Report

KISHTWAR, Apr 22: While taking serious note of the dereliction of duties in providing timely information and fostering the social distancing protocol during the COVID-19 lockdown, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today placed Lambardar Cherji under the suspension.
The action was taken on the basis of report received from Tehsildar Kishtwar who had reported that a marriage ceremony took place on 19th April 2020 in Halqa Cherji without obtaining any permission from the competent authorities in gross violations of the guidelines issued for social distancing.
Lambardar Halqa Cherji failed to report to the administration regarding the said marriage which is failure on the part of Lambardar to render assistance to the government.
Tehsildar Kishtwar Pramood Kumar has been appointed as enquiry officer in the matter and he has been directed to submit the detail factual report within two weeks positively with specific recommendation besides he is also directed to assign the charge of the Lamberdar Cherji to adjoining suitable Namberdar till further orders.
