Now Omar Abdullah hails ‘NC Bhagoda’
4/22/2020 11:35:23 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 22: Former Chief Minister and National Conference President Omar Abdullah is nowadays active on Twitter praising some of those in the government including his former aides who left the party “for greener pastures.”
In his tweets of appreciation for one of his former colleagues, who left the party to contest municipal elections, Omar asked him to “continue” the fight.
The former CM has been constantly appreciating this former NC leader who had parted ways with the party after a war of words. Interestingly, a few hours after his resignation, the said politician was expelled from the party.
Sources in the NC said that Omar has been in constant touch with the said politician holding a key position in Srinagar and has been seeking “relief for his areas of interest.”
It is pertinent to mention that the NC has already been facing allegations of having fielded “proxy candidates in the municipal elections which the party had claimed to have boycotted.”
“NC had never boycotted the Local Urban Body elections this party had only fielded the proxy candidates and that is now getting clearer and clearer as even Omar Abdullah is appreciating their work,” said a political analyst.
Meanwhile the sources said the NC leaders have taken a serious note of Omar’s appreciation for the “NC Bhagoda”. “Such an appreciation will only encourage our leaders to leave the party and the day is not far off when they (Abdullahs) may actually appreciate that as well,” said a senior NC leader on the condition of anonymity.
He said Omar has appreciated the man who left the party as a “rebel turncoat.” “If our party has appreciation for the turncoats than the fate of this party is only getting clearer,” the politician said.
Sources said the matter has been brought into the notice of NC patron Dr Farooq Abdullah who has assured action.
Despite repeated attempt, Omar Abdullah couldn’t be contacted for comments.
