4/22/2020 10:39:40 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 22: Residents of Sector 7 of Trikuta Nagar demanded the administration to restrict movement of Rohingya’s / jhugi dwellers openly in Trikuta Nagar.
They said that due to civil curfew imposed in view of COVID-19 outbreak, streets are deserted. Random people enter & exit our colony & nobody questions their identity. People don’t come out of their houses in view of civil lockdown. The policeman is a rare in sight in this residential locality. Taking advantage of the absence of the police patrolling in the areas, some goons are freely moving in our areas, they press the door bells of the houses, to ascertain the presence of inhabitants. Yesterday miscreants broke into the house of Krishen Lal Gadotara, House No.34, Sector 7 Trikuta Nagar, in between 11.30 am to 5 pm. An amount of Rs. 45,000 has been stolen from that house after breaking two door locks in a day light, No house which is locked even for a few hours during the day is safe. Burglary too is on the increase. The area near Maratha Mohalla on the other side of the canal near Railway station is inhabited by Rohingyas & Juggi dwellers.
This area is den of unlawful activities. Needs immediate surveillance to restrict unlawful activities like illegal trade of drugs , kerosene oil and petrol/diesel .
