Early Times Report

JAMMU, Apr 27: National Executive Member, BJP Kissan Yuva Samiti, Jammu and Kashmir, Aditi Sharma asked the J&K government to restore 4G internet access in Jammu and Kashmir in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Talking to reporters here, Aditi Sharma said that the absence of 4G Internet has hindered the work of health professionals, has prevented the public from getting information, and impeded the work of journalists and others.
She said that restrictions on 4G make Arogya App for COVID 19 launched the central government practically impossible to access and use effectively.
She appealed to the government to restore high-speed 4G internet access to full capacity to enable Jammu and Kashmir residents to be well-informed and to access crucial information.
She also refer to the difficulties in access to online classes and accurate information, in delivery of healthcare in the territory, and the inability to “work from home” due to slow internet speeds.
“2G services are exceptionally feeble and slow and don’t allow access to all the sites. The students still continue to suffer and the media fraternity is still facing acute problems,” she said.
“Students were worried and majority of them were losing patience, as they complain that most of them were unable to download study matters due to slow speed of internet.” She said adding that at this stage, especially when government has directed for online classes, it is highly important and necessary to restore the 4G services.
She further said many people stranded out of J&K can communicate easily at their homes and people may work online from their homes if high speed 4G internet available in J&K.
