DIG Udhampur Sujit Singh pens down poem “Main Khaki Hoon”

JAMMU, Apr 27: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Udhampur range Sujit Kumar Singh has written a poem ‘Main Khaki Hoon’ based on the life of police personnel during COVID-19 lockdown. The poem which speaks about the tough life of a police personal, who has to discharge his duty despite having numerous odds in his life.
DIG Sujit Kumar, who is an IPS officer, has great passion for writing poems and recently he wrote poem ‘Khaki’ keeping in view the present scenario of Coronavirus and the difficulties being faced by the these corona warriors.
The poem says about the pride and responsibility of a person in uniform, who is always committed to serve his county from the attacks of enemies. “The men in uniforms had to face stone pelting during any protest, had to takes bullets on their chest on border. Always remain on duty without caring about food, hunger, thirst as their prime duty is to save the country from its enemies,” the some lines of poem read. The poem further unfolds about the hope, which arises among the people on seeing them during any difficulty. Pertinently, DIG Sujit Kumar Singh won the battle of life from cancer.
