Sikh United Front hails PM’s economic package

JAMMU, May 14: Sikh United Front J&K and an amalgam of various Sikh Organizations of J&K has hailed the economic package worth Rs 20 lakh crore announced by the Prime Minister.
The Front welcomed the package in a telephonic meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Sudarshan Singh Wazir.
The meeting was attended by Dayal Singh Wazir Chairman Shiromani Akali Dal J&K, Mohinder Singh Chief Organizer Bhai Kaniya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K and Ex Member DGPC Jammu and Darbinder Singh President Shiromani Akali Dal J&K and Kulwant Singh Khajuria Joint Secretary Shiromani Akali Dal J&K.
In the meeting, the members said the proposed package is an economic stimulus estimated at 10% of GDP of India clearly defined leap toward economic reforms to self-relianance and resilient India. As PM had announced that the Government has planned new financial incentives in addition to once already announced. The J&K Sikh United Front reminded the central government that PM Narendra Modi during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir in 2014 promised in a big rally that refugees of PoJK of 1947 will get Rs 30 lakh per family as rehabilitation. But Rs. 5.5 lakh per family is paid. Hence it is demanded that pending Rs 24.50 lakhs be released in favour of the refugees of 1947 of PoJK.
The Sikh United Front expressed resentment that the stranded labourers as well as general public of J&K have not been helped by the government.
