DLCW conducts door to door awareness campaign in Rajouri

RAJOURI, MAY 14: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri Mohammad Nazir Sheikh, District Level Centre for Women Rajouri today conducted an awareness campaign to aware the people of far flung areas about the preventative measures to be taken to combat the spread of Coronavirus in the district.
The campaign was carried out under the supervision of DSEO Rajouri and nodal officer of BBBP Mr Bilal Rashid Mir, Anum Mirza (Women Welfare Officer) Rajouri along with her entire team of DLCW including District Co-ordinators, Sanjana Thakur and Nazma Sheikh provided door to door awareness regarding COVID- 19 like wearing of masks, frequently washing hands, Emergency Helplines for Covid-19 of the district, Women Helpline 181, Mahila Shakti Kendra, use of zoom app for online study, Aarogya Setu App, and also distributed sanitizers to the people in the far flung areas like Tralla, Chadaal, Palma and adjoining areas.
Anum Mirza (WWO), said the purpose of the door to door campaign is to percolate the information about the precautionary measures and handling the infection.
She discusses, “The concern is because there is no treatment of any virus other than vaccination, and coronavirus is no exception. This virus is extremely contagious and spreads through human touch and mucus droplets.” Besides, imparting awareness, the team also collected the details of essentials required by some women.
