14 fresh positive cases, 16 recovered in North Kashmir, four discharged from Uri

BARAMULLA, May 16: Fourteen fresh positive cases of Covid-19 were reported today, while as 16 have recovered in the districts of North Kashmir and four more persons were discharged from SD Uri.
According to the details available, two fresh cases have been reported in Baramulla district, 35 are active positive case and 13 have recovered today in this North Kashmir district today, and three deaths have occurred so for.
In Kupwara district, 12 fresh cases were reported and 49 are active positive cases, while as no death has occurred so for in this district. In Bandipora district nine are active positive case, three recovered today and one death has occurred till date in this district.
Four more persons including three locals and an outsider were discharged today from quarantine centre TRC Salamabad Uri after their samples return negative. In-charge quarantine center TRC Salamabad Uri Tariq Hashim oversaw their discharge and transportation to their respective homes, said reports.
They said that the group like all others before them was under through medical supervision period and was discharged after clearance from doctors and health authorities with the strict directions to remain in home quarantine.
While as on May 15, four more students were quarantined in Sub Division Uri that had came from Dehli and were quarantined at TRC Salambad, among which one was from Shadra one from Basgrian one from Salambad one from Uri and the total number of quarantine person in TRC Salambad Uri is 23
Meanwhile on the directions of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir, the Executive Officer Municipal Committee Handwara today fumigated all public places and roads in Handwara town and its adjacent areas.
Meanwhile administration distributed vegetables and other essential commodities in red zone area of Gonipora, Handwara under the supervision of Nodal Officer.
The ADC, on the occasion said that the field functionaries are doing good job to keep the COVID-19 at bay; he appealed people to maintain self restraint to help keep Handwara COVID-19 free.
