Govt Polytechnic Jammu organizes online quiz competition

JAMMU, MAY 20: Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk, Jammu today organized an online quiz competition as a part of campaign ‘Defeat Covid 19’ competition -VI.
The topics for online quiz completion was current affairs, inventions, sports, general knowledge, famous days & dates, country capitals and currency, science & technology. In the competition 75 students of different departments participated. The quiz masters for the online quiz were competition was Shokat Ali, Lecturer Computer Engineering, Sanam Gupta, Lecturer Mechanical Engineering, Jasdeep Kaur, Lecturer, Instrumentation and Deepak Gupta, Demonstrator, Civil Engineering. Online quiz portal was prepared by quiz masters and was shared 15 minutes prior to quiz in all the Department whatsapp group of students. In the quiz there were total 50 questions for students and time allotted 30 minutes after login. After attempting all the questions, the answers were submitted for online evaluation. Results were announced immediately after the quiz was over.
The first position was secured by Rohit Kumar Attri of 2nd Semester, Civil Engineering Department with a score of 47 out of 50.
Second position was secured by five students with each score of 46, Akshit Gupta, 2nd Semester, Sahil Bhat, 6th Semester Computer Engineering, Ashish Balotra, Aftab Ahmed 6th Semester Electrical Engineering and Manik Sharma, 4th Semester Civil Engineering.
While 3rd position was bagged by five students with score of 45 each, Rishab Puri, 4th Semester Architecture, Parnab Dubey, Manoj Kapoor, 4th Semester Mechanical Engineering, Neha Manhas, 6th Semester Computer Engineering and Arun Kumar, 4th Semester Electrical Engineering.
Principal of the college Er Arun Bangotra, appreciated the wholeheartedly participation of all the students in various competitions organised during lockdown. He further advised to students to stay home and utilize their time in study and attend online classes. Government Polytechnic Jammu is effectively conducting online class through Google Classrooms, Google Hangout, Zoom App, Whatsapp, GoMeeting and Youtube channels since lockdown for the polytechnic students of all the semester and branches.
