Mysterious death case solved in 48 hours, 2 UBGL grenades recovered in Kupwara

KUPWARA, May 26: Jammu and Kashmir police solved mysterious death case in just 48 hours, while as 2 UBGL grenades have been also recovered by a joint team of security forces in this border district of north Kashmir on Tuesday.
According to police statement that, Kupwara police has solved a mysterious death case of one Fazil Ahmad Mir S/O Mohd Afzal Mir R/O Regipora Kupwara age (22 years student of BCA who had gone missing from his home on 22nd May 2020 within (48) hours.
During investigation, it has come to fore that on 22 and 23 May the deceased along with a few associates had bought large amounts of drugs from multiple drug peddlers hailing from Guzriyal, Batergam, and other areas of district Kupwara .
On 22-05-2020 deceased left home in the forenoon and his dead body was recovered from Wogbal forest area in the forenoon on 24th May 2020.Deceased was last seen with his drug addict associates in a vehicle bearing registration no JKO9B 4430 in Gulgam, Batergam area.
Three drug peddlers including Ejaz mir s/o Ab Razzaq Mir from Guzriyal, Ishfaq Ahmad Malik @ Sahba Pulwami s/o Mohd Abdullah Malik from Batergam and Suhail Dhobi S/O Ab Ahad Dhobi from Gulgam have been detained for questioning in this regard.
Kupwara police has registered case FIR no 118/202O under relevant provisions of law in P/S Kupwara and investigation of the case is underway. Appropriate legal charges would be pressed against the drug peddlers.
While as in the same district, police and army on Tuesday recovered two UBGL grenades during a cordon and search operation at Zunreshi area of Lolab, sources told news agency
They said that, upon receiving specific inputs, a joint cordon and search operation was launched by Army’s 14 SIKHLI and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Police at Chaupan Mohalla, Zunreshi.
During the operation, they said, two UBGL grenades were recovered in the area.
