‘Mission Ehsaas’ extends help to more than 500 families during lockdown

RAJOURI, May 26: A youth leader Guftar Ahmed Choudhary hailing from Kotranka area of Rajouri District had launched the ‘Mission Ehsaas’ at the first day when lockdown due to COVID-19 was imposed across the country, and he immediately started a campaign to provide food kits and other basic facilities to the distressed section of public in Kotranka area of District Rajouri.
Following the launch, to till date the Youth leader and State Vice President, JKGBYWC, delivered ration kits to around 500+ needy and destitute families in the areas mentioned.
Speaking to a media, youth leader said due to the lockdown, the labourers and widows got stuck in their houses and were unable to go outside to earn their livelihood while keeping in view their suffering and miseries, he stepped out by taking the support of number of elite class people and friends with an idea to provide essential items and commodities to the needy and he got success in this mission. Choudhary said, “The support of my friends encouraged me which helped me to further accelerate my activities in order to help and serve the weaker sections of the society. The biggest challenge was ration distribution during the pandemic. We succeeded ultimately in this mission and served 500+ families.”
Apart from helping the needy with food, Choudhary has also distributed masks to people and also extended his help to labourers and students who had been stuck outside J&K, by using his influence helped them there.
Several People took on Twitter and other social media platforms to appreciate the efforts of Choudhary and his team who were trying to make a difference in this pandemic.
Meanwhile, some labourers and widows while commenting said that they find a messiah in this youth leader, who is so humble and kind towards poor people.
