SAMBA, June 7: Swami Madhu Paramhans, the head of Sahib Bandgi Spiritual organization said that sensing the deplorable condition of poor and working class in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak, the organization is providing nutritional meal to more than 10,000 needy people right from the starting days of lockdown in different parts of J&K by adhering to social distance and hygiene measures.
The organization has also distributed kits containing dry ration and essential commodities to more than 1000 families in Jammu and more than 250 families in Kashmir. The organization has also provided its Ashram at Udhampur to use as quarantine centre and supplied 300 beds and 300 mattresses for corona affected people. Moreover, the organization has donated Rs 5 lakh towards PM care fund and Rs 2 lakh to COVID-19 J&K Relief Fund.
Paramhans informed that organization has pledged to provide meal and necessary help to needy people post one week after lockdown even if the activity incurs cost requiring organization to take loans from bank or selling ashram property. Sahib strongly exhorted that demanding donations in lieu of charity is strictly prohibited in our organization.
He also appealed people to help local administration by following various advisories and instructions to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
