Now Pak playing another communal card in Kashmir
6/8/2020 12:13:33 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

Srinagar, June 7: Having failed to disturb prevalent peace in Kashmir since the abrogation of the special status on August 5, 2019, the neighboring Pakistan is trying to yet again play the communal card in the restive region.
Officials said in the last around a month, atleast four such incidents took place in Kashmir which hint at Pakistan trying to provoke the people of Kashmir on communal lines.
In 1990s, Pakistan stooges through their communal agenda had forced the Pandith community to migrate out of Kashmir after a series of terror attacks on the minority community members.
In the latest plot, this time, the miscreants hurled petrol bomb at Amar Koul Temple at Badamwari in Srinagar on May 18.
Two days later in adjacent Hawal, miscreants tried to set ablaze a mosque but their sinister designs didn’t realize. In yet another incident, burglars struck into a Gurudwara in Jawahar Nagar locality of Srinagar and decamped with cash and other valuables.
The incident took place on the night of May 30. As per the details shared by the Gurudwara committee members to media, after checking the CCTV footage, two persons are believed to have sneaked into the place of worship at around midnight before managing to flee with valuables and ransacking property.
Official sources said the police are looking into the angle if such attempts in Kashmir are aimed at inciting a communal discord. “Nothing can be ruled out as Pakistan can go to any extent to keep the pot boiling in Kashmir and the new plot of inciting communal discord cannot be ruled out because it was the same Pakistan which forced the innocent Kashmiri Pandiths to migrate from the their homeland and they could never return,” said a senior official on the condition of anonymity.
Sources said the administration was looking ahead for a high level probe into such recent incidents.
“No miscreants can be given a chance to derail peace and prosperity in Kashmir and our teams are on the job to foil any such nefarious designs,” said an official.
