YNC anguished over proposed decision of Toll Plaza at Akhnoor
Another backstabbing of BJP with people of J&K: Jan
6/7/2020 9:54:57 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 7: Terming the proposed opening of a Toll Plaza at Akhnoor on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway as another backstabbing by Bharatiya Janta Party with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the Youth National Conference here have asked BJP President Ravinder Raina to come clear on his statements issued in recent years over the opening of toll plazas across Jammu and Kashmir.
Ajaz Jan, Provincial President of Youth National Conference said that BJP President of Jammu and Kashmir, Ravinder Raina used to make claims of holding communications with Government of India and not to allow opening of more toll plazas in Jammu and Kashmir.
"All the claims of BJP chief seem hollow and blown out of imagination as more and more toll plazas are being open." Jan said.
Hitting hard at BJP government at Delhi for befooling people of Jammu and Kashmir, Jan said that BJP announced a four lane highway from Jammu to Poonch in 2014 polls but work has now started only on Jammu Akhnoor stretch with reports revealing that the project of four lane from Akhnoor to Poonch has been shelved.
"This is an act of BJP which shows party's ill treatment with the people of Rajouri and Poonch who voted for a four lane highway from Jammu to Poonch and have received a toll plaza in return now." Jan said.
He appealed to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, GC Murmu to come forward and to revert any decision for opening of toll plaza at Akhnoor as it shall badly affected the common masses who travel on the road.
