Lecturers’ Forum demand repatriation of J&K govt edu employees from Ladakh
6/7/2020 9:57:10 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 7: Monthly meeting of All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum was held through teleconferencing under the chairmanship of its president Deepak Sharma wherein the Forum demanded repatriation of all J&K government education employees from Ladakh region immediately among others issues raised threadbare.
Deepak Sharma said that a large number of lecturers and other education department employees from UT of J&K are serving in Ladakh region and have not been transferred back to their respective home districts even after completion of stipulated period of one year in hard areas. He further said that even option was sought from the J&K Government employees to choose between the two UTs of J&K and Ladakh on bifurcation of J&K state but no exercise has been done in this regard to give a sigh of relief to the employees. Forum demanded immediate repatriation of all J&K Government education employees including those recruited under SRO -202 to their home districts in J&K UT as SRO- 202 remains irrelevant and inapplicable in this case as Ladakh is no more a part of J&K. Hence J&K government employees deputed there should not be made to languish in harsh weather conditions.
Forum further hoped that Adminstrative committee framed to resolve issues and grievances of 10+2 cadre will soon submit its report and practical shape will be given to Running Grade/ Time Bound Promotion and Induction Quota into KAS in favour of Plus Two Lecturers.
