Early Times Report

Jammu, June 9: All J&K POJK 1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum convened a meeting of its Core committee members under the chairmanship of Adv Amrik Singh and joined by S.Surjit.Singh general secretary of Forum.
The agenda of the meeting was to discuss over the latest domicile law ammended by the J&k UT Govt. whicb States that by virtue of this domicile law every citizen of UT have to obtain a domicile certificate to prove their domicile identity. The Forum expressed their sentiments and reservation in this regard and elaborate that since the POJK Sharnarthees are the originate of J&K and have obtained their PRC by completing all the prescribed rules circulated by the law deptt. beside getting themselves registrations in the office of Provincial Rehablitation Officer Jammu province in the year 1954 and we have got FARM A further they have also enclosed J&K Legislative Assembly 1951 --1952 election voter list with the state subject file and on this solid proof of identity the POJK Sharnarthees should be automatically exemptedand considers as state domiciled.
The forum reitrated that we are not against the new domicile law keeping in view the number of backdoors entries already made in past by means of corrupt practice of officials where lacs numbers of Bangladeshi, Rohangias, and other states residents have got PRC by illegal means which just be checked up.
The Forum further said that the Refugees belongs to west pakistan are also the sufferer they shoul be issued the new law domicile certificate
The forum urge upon the J&k UT Govt. to consider the Present PRC of the POJK1947 Sharnarthees as domicile on the basis of PRC and On FARM ;A already issued by the Distt.Development commissioner and provincial relief and rehablitation dept. to save the main powers and avoid waistage of precious times.
