13 fresh positive cases, 601 Active Positive cases reported in north Kashmir

BARAMULLA, June 9: Thirteen fresh positive cases were reported, 601 are active positive cases today, while Deputy Commissioner Baramulla convened a meeting with traders and transport associations with regard to relaxation in this district of north Kashmir. According to district wise positive cases, In Baramulla district, 05 fresh positive cases were reported, 487 are cumulative, 357 are active positive cases and 09 deaths have occurred so far. In Kupwara, 07 are fresh positive cases, 357 are cumulative, 156 are active positive cases, and 03 deaths have occurred so far. In Bandipora district, 01 fresh positive case reported, 225 are cumulative, 88 are active positive cases, and 01 death has occurred so far. Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner (DC), Baramulla Dr. G. N. Itoo today convened a meeting of the representatives of various trade associations and transporters at Sopore to discuss various measures pertaining to lockdown relaxation in the district. On the occasion, threadbare discussions were held wherein various measures were thoroughly discussed to give relaxation in lockdown vis-a-vis minimizing the risk of infection. The DC informed that district Baramulla has been declared as a red zone keeping in view the present situation, so a proper mechanism has to be formulated to combat the pandemic. He said, administration has decided that 50 per cent of the traders will be allowed to open their shops on rotational basis for limited time while as no shop shall be opened on Sunday The DC stressed for strict implementation of the safety measures and advisories of the health department including use of masks, sanitizer, social distance and fumigation.
