Court rejects bail of five in attempt to murder case
6/13/2020 11:35:16 PM

EARLY TIME REPORT

JAMMU, June 13: A local court rejected the bail applications of five namely Deepak Kumar, Sanjay Vaid, Rinku Sharma, Bablu Sharma and Ajay Kumar who were involved in attempt to murder case.
According to the police case that police came to know from reliable sources that on 19.02.2020 at 12.45 pm accused persons in criminal conspiracy with accused Ajay Kumar armed with Darat, Tokas and Swords attacked in broad day light, one Sunil Sharma, S/o Purshotam Sharma, R/o Aghar Jitto on the basis of old enmity, lying in pool of blood in Bus Stand near Niharika Katra. On this information, case under FIR No.32/2020 came to be registered for the commission of offences U/Ss 307/323/341/147/109 IPC read with Sec.4/25 A.Act.
Principal Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandit after hearing both the sides observed that in the present case at hand the accused persons as already discussed herein above have executed their plan for killing the injured in a very horrifying and dastardly way that too in broad day light in the heart of the city of Katra town, but the injured survived due to the blessing of well-wishers otherwise the way attack was made under a well-knit criminal conspiracy for doing away with his life and the pictures which are part of the record are horrifying as accused persons having criminal antecedents have not regard for the human lives because of their inhuman and insensitive criminal conduct. The attack was allegedly made on the basis of rivalry, so it is reasonably apprehended that the accused persons once enlarged on bail would definitely indulge into threatening of the witnesses and also there is reasonable apprehension that they would also jump over the bail if granted. With regard to one of the accused (name withheld) that he is suffering from AIDS which now a days is not a life threatening disease and has effective treatment and can avail that treatment while in jail also, for which separate directions are issued to the In-charge Sub-Jail, Reasi to extend and facilitate specialized treatment for the said accused person lodged in the Sub-Jail, Reasi. With these observations Court rejected bail application. (JNF)
