DDC kick starts blacktopping work on Kuleed-Hullar road

KISHTWAR, Aug 16: District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara, today kick started the blacktopping work on 6 Km stretch of Kuleed -Hullar road.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik; Executive Engineer PMGSY Division Kishtwar, Bashir Ahmed Khandey; Assistant Executive Engineer PMGSY, Rajesh Kumar; Sarpanch Panchayat Lachdayaram- A, Zamrooda Begum and other PRI members among others were present on the occasion.
The approved cost of this road project is Rs.5.37 crore. The work on the road commenced on November 2018 and is targeted to be completed in all respects by December 2020, said XEn PMGSY Kishtwar.
The DDC asked the XEN to ensure the quality of work and completion within timeline. He also asked for strict adherence to SOPs and protocol of COVID-19 pandemic at the work place.
On the way, the DDC also meet with the locals of the Hullar village and listened to their grievances. They apprised him of their problems and sought pending land compensation of the land acquired for the road, renovation of the drains along the side of road, ban on dumping of scrap and damaged vehicles and household waste along roadside.
Responding to the issues projected by the locals, the DDC directed XEn PMGSY Division Kishtwar to ensure proper maintenance of the drains along road side within a week time ahead of his next visit.
He further directed SHO Kishtwar to remove all the damaged vehicles along the road side on immediate basis for the safety of people.
He also reviewed the activities conducted under the week long Gandagi Mukt Bharat campaign and other various events which were conducted across the panchayat.
