Jammu, Aug 18: Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta toured Trikuta Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Deeli and Nanak Nagar falling under Gandhi Nagar legislative Assembly to take stock of the basic amenities and start some development works in the area.
At Deeli Ashok Sharma along with over dozens of his supporters joined BJP in presence of senior BJP leaders and District team.
The joining program was organised by Bharat Bhushan Mandal general secretary, Monu Slathia, Kashmir Singh and Dalbir Singh.
Kavinder Gupta while welcoming all the new members in BJP appealed to work hard and said that our party is the party of masses and more and more people are joining BJP as they see the future of the country safe in the hands of Prime Minister Modi.
The joining of more and more people is the endorsement of the people friendly policies and socio economic welfare schemes launched by Prime Minister in his tenure in last six years. Kavinder Gupta while lambasting the Congress said, its is their habit of playing divisive politics just to befool the public on various issues.
They are least concerned about Jammu division and history is witness that pretended to be representatives of the public of valley and befool the Kashmiris. These are the parties responsible for the turmoil in the valley and responsible for the exodus of kashmiri Pandits from Valley, he added.
He appealed to the public to get united and strengthen party so that these parties are taught a lesson. He asked the party cadre to reach out to public in every nook and corner to spread the achievements of last 6 years.
Meanwhile Kavinder also started drain work in ward no 20 in presence of mayor Chander Mohan Gupta,Former MLC & senior BJP leader Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Baldev Billawria and Councillor Rahul Kumar. The construction work shall be sxecuted aat an extimated cost of 25 lacs. While addressing the gathering said the many developmental works are undertaken by the different agencies in Jammu.
Gupta added that every elected councillor is doing commendable jobs and appealed to general public to come forward with any left out work. He also appealed to reach out to councillors so that the pending works are taken up with the administration for necessary approvals and execution. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Neeraj Lucky Puri, Narinder Koki, Nayan Gupta, Sandeep Gupta, Vijay Verma, Rachit Khosla and Kapil Khurana.
