The government has already directed all the Head of the Departments (HODs) to remain present in Srinagar.
The General Administration Department (GAD) has ordered all the HODs to remain present in Srinagar from August 24 till September 25.
The Commissioner Secretary, GAD, Manoj Dwivedi in an order said: “In view of the forthcoming review of the Lt Governor of issues relating to all the administrative departments and in partial modification of Government order number 651- JK (GAD) of 2020 of June 19, 2020, all the administrative secretaries shall present in Srinagar from August 24, 2020 (Monday) till September 25th, 2020 (Friday).”
Sources said that the Sinha will undertake detailed review of the departments from next week.
The officials are busy in preparing representation to be presented during the review meetings. The LG wants to take firsthand information of all the departments,” said the sources.
Sources said that LG Manoj Sinha has sought progress reports on various ongoing developmental works going in Srinagar and other districts of J&K.
It is to mention here that the LG has already directed the officers to pull-up socks to ensure that people’s issues are addressed and developmental works are completed on a fast track basis.
He has also told the officials to ensure speedy development and effective implementation of welfare measures.
LG Sinha after assuming the charge, chaired a series of review meetings. “The LG had directed the heads of every department to ensure that there is no laxity given the present pandemic related issues and that all vital projects are taken up and completed on fast track basis,”
“He had directed heads of construction agencies and all the concerned officials to ensure timely completion of all the ongoing projects. He stressed on taking up new projects in a time bound manner,” sources said, adding that LG Sinha warned the officials that “there should be no complacency while performing their duties.”
He had directed administrative secretaries and advisors to remain present for the public grievance redressal system. “People should not suffer at cost. All officers must remain present to listen to the people’s woes and address them as well,” the LG, as per sources, had told the meetings.
